Funeral of popular son
Dale Partington
THE funeral of Snaith man Dale Partington, who died just before Christmas after being attacked outside his home, will take place on Friday.
Dale’s funeral will be held at Snaith Priory Church at 10am followed by committal at Pontefract Crematorium.
Following the much-loved 27-year-old son’s untimely death his parents Julie and Jimmy paid tribute to him and described how fun loving and sociable their son was.
Julie said: “Talking about Dale in the past tense just feels wrong. To say I miss him is an understatement. Dale was an extremely kind hearted and lovable son; his family were everything to him always making us smile, laugh and generally being full of joy.”
Jimmy added: “Dale was not just my son but my best friend, we did so much together. Snaith and the surrounding area will be a sad place now Dale is no longer here, everyone knew and loved him. Dale liked the good things in life; partying, socialising and working hard. He had so many close friends and was instantly liked by anyone who spoke to him. The sorrow and emptiness our family feel is unbearable, we are utterly devastated. I would do anything to bring my boy back.”
His parents also said he had a fantastic personality and was a wonderful family man and amazing uncle to his niece and nephew. He leaves behind his mum Julie, dad Jimmy, older brother Adam, older sister Stella, younger sisters Michaela and Gemma, along with his young niece and nephew and extended family. Donations in lieu of flowers at the funeral if desired to be shared between Snaith Priory Church and Snaith Juniors Football Club.
