Olden Times: Hemingbrough Grange

Hemingbrough Grange in 1951.

As with many farms, times have changed over the years and Hemingsbrough Grange is no exception.

There can be seen the thatched straw stacks and the unthreshed harvest under the Dutch Barn.

The partly covered fold-yard always had cattle over winter within, while the other buildings consisted of calf houses, pig stys and granaries, among other things.

Today, as with many farms, the Grange is no longer a working farm.
