A HANDBAG was stolen from a house in East Cowick as the occupants were watching television.
Humberside Police revealed that last Tuesday between 6.50-10.30pm an unknown offender gained access to a property in Back Lane.
The occupants heard a bang whilst watching television at about 9pm, but thought it was wind blowing against the door.
But later on at 10.15pm a member of the house went into the kitchen to get her handbag, only to find it had gone missing.
The leather Radley bag is described as turquoise and black, with turquoise and terracotta stitching and a hand-held small strap.
It contained a brown leather purse with white stitching, cash and credit cards.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area that night is urged to contact police on 0845 6060222, referring to log 783, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
