I AM 31 years old and I suffer from cystic fibrosis, asthma and inflammatry arthritis but to look at me I look normal.
I have a disabled badge for my car, which I am entitled to but someone decided to challenge me in a Goole car park for parking in a disabled bay, with my badge on display.

The man was probably in his 50s and was sitting in a car next to mine.

The comment I got after he had shaken his head at me was "You are walking, you're not disabled".

Where is the law stating that you have to be wheelchair bound to be registered disable?

I did not get an apology, even after I had shown him the treatment tube leading to my stomach.

They say young people are ignorant, older people can be a lot worse.

I work full time, I do not claim from the state or use my illness as an excuse for anything.

I have just got my badge due to my arthritis, which I have been entitled to since I was 16.

My life expectancy is 31 and I am that age now so, you can imagine my disgust when people say things like that.

Name and address supplied.
