traditional: AN historic pub is still going strong after two centuries. Landlord Terry Schooner, who has been behind the bar at the The Queen’s Head in Epworth himself for two decades, says the pub boasts an array of facilities.
Children’s play areas, a jukebox, darts and live sports coverage are all on offer. Among the beers available are Carling, Fosters, Boddingtons, Guinness, John Smith’s Smooth, Stella Artois and Coors Light, as well as two ever-changing real ales. There is a quiz and bingo night on Tuesdays with a 9pm start with cash prizes to be won. The pub also shows live 3pm football matches on a Saturday. Terry added that his favourite pub in the area, if he is heading out for a pint of real ale himself, is the Little Plough in Doncaster’s West Laith Gate.
