Tasty tipple hits the mark
A brand new Yorkshire Ale, brewed by the Brown Cow Brewery in Barlow, has been produced to mark the launch of the new Yorkshire Ales shop in Snaith.
A TASTY tipple evoking the origins of beer making has been launched by a growing business frothing over with Yorkshire ales.
Yorkshire Ales, which was opened by man and wife team Adrian and Vicky Pettitt to the public in September, at The Manor House in Selby Road, and specialising in tyke brews, have teamed up with Brown Cow Brewery in Barlow to produce Genesis ale.
Vicky described Genesis as a Pale Gold Ale brewed with finest Maris Otter malt and traditional English variety hops.
She added: “The beer has been brewed to mark the opening of the Yorkshire Ales shop in the picturesque town of Snaith. The owner, my husband, has been an enthusiastic ale drinker for many years. Adrian hopes that by working with the established, lesser known and new emerging breweries he can offer a selection like no other – known as the Wall of Yorkshire Ales!
“We launched the beer at the beer tasting evening last week, and all sampled the ale before heading over to the Brewers Arms where we held the event for the rest of the evening with sensory expert Jo Menneer. It was a great night and everyone seemed to enjoy trying the eight different beers we tasted including one, of course, from Old Mill Brewery in Snaith (which we hope will be bottling next year)!”
She further added: “The guests did say that if we had included Genesis in the beer tasting it would have come first. This was a great compliment from our customers.” Genesis is on sale now along with beers from Lancashire, Lincolnshire and other counties.
