Following its highly successful UK tour, the official Agatha Christie Theatre Company returns to the Lyceum from Monday 15 – Saturday 20 October with the 65th anniversary production of the classic thriller Murder on the Nile.

Murder on the Nile boasts an all-star cast, including Kate O’Mara, star of television hits including Dynasty and Bad Girls, Susie Amy, star of 71 Degrees North and Footballers’ Wives, Ben Nealon, fondly remembered as Capt Jeremy Forsythe from the ITV drama Soldier Soldier and 60’s pop idol, Mark Wynter. They are joined by Robert Duncan, star of the television hit Drop the Dead Donkey.

On board a steamer, cruising under the scorching Egyptian sun, honeymooners Simon Mostyn and his wealthy socialite wife, Kay, find themselves being pursued by an old flame of the newly wedded groom. Then tragedy strikes. A body is discovered and all fingers point to Simon’s ex fiancée. However, everything is not what it seems and holidaying cleric Canon Pennefather is drawn into a web of intrigue and deceit as he finds himself on the trail of a ruthless murderer.

First performed in 1946, Murder on the Nile is a true classic from the queen of crime and this latest production promises a host of colourful characters and all the twists and turns of a Christie mystery to keep you guessing to the final shattering climax.

Tickets for Murder on the Nile can be purchased from Sheffield Theatres’ Box Office in-person, by phone on 0114 249 6000 or online at Sheffield Theatres and are priced from £13 - £25 with discounts available.
