Michael McIntyre

top comedian Michael McIntyre is bringing his tour to South Yorkshire and he hopes this show will be his biggest and best yet.

The star of Britain’s Got Talent and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow will air his observational comedy at Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena tonight, tomorrow and Saturday.

He is returning to Sheffield as part of the Last Laugh Comedy Festival, where he will be joining other big names on the bill including Ross Noble, Jack Dee, Dara O Briain, Alan Davies and Julian Clary.

Michael said: “I am so excited about this tour. I want this to be the best show I’ve ever done.

“I love making people laugh. To play in front of an audience is special. It’s a real honour that so many people come to the show and are so happy to see you. Then it’s about making them even happier by the end of the show.”

The Last Laugh has come a long way since its humble beginnings eight years ago, when there were just 20 acts in the line-up. But today it is among the biggest festivals of its kind with 90 shows.

His third DVD release Michael McIntyre: Showtime is launched on November 12 and follows two previous DVDs including Live and Laughing, the best-selling UK debut stand-up DVD ever.

Other highlights in Michael’s career so far include hosting the 2010 Royal Variety Performance in front of HRH Prince Charles, a 54-date sell-out arena tour in 2009 playing to over 500,000 people including six nights at Wembley Arena plus four at the O2.

Tickets for Michael McIntyre at the Motorpoint Arena Sheffield cost £35, contact 0114 256 5656 or visit Motorpoint Arena Sheffield
