POET and author Gervaise Phinn visited The Bookshop in Goole last week to sign copies of his new book All Our Yesterdays.
Mr Phinn visited the store to promote the book, which contains contributions from Judy Dench, Ricky Tomlinson, Fred Truman, Stan Barstow and other authors.

Kerry Smith, owner of The Bookshop, said: "We had the shop full for around two hours - people were queueing throughout the store. To see so many people here was great."

Speaking of Mr Phinn's reaction to the day, she said: "He was surprised how many turned up; he was impressed because we are a small independent shop."

The shop sold about 160 copies of All Our Yesterdays, with signed copies remaining in the store for purchase. Ms Smith hopes to attract more signings in the future.
