HOWDEN Show's countdown has begun with just two months left until the annual extravaganza.
A host of top attractions have been booked for the Sunday July 13 event to ensure that the show builds on the success of last year's popular return to The Ashes playing fields, which has been its traditional home since it was first launched 128 years
ago.
There will be a wealth of fun and entertainment for children, including the Mad Science tent, Wonky Rabbit Magic and Sam's Safaris.
The Xtreme Trials Display Team will make a welcome return, and there will be the old favourites including sheep, cattle and horse classes; the dog show and the opportunity for people to exhibit arts, crafts and local produce.
Viking FM roadshow will be in attendance, along with Mark Bell Tree Carving.
Show-jumping classes, which have traditionally formed part of the show's busy programme, will be held on Saturday June 28 at a dedicated horse show event taking place on the field next to California Gardens just off the A614 in Howden (close to the Long's Corner roundabout).
Schedules for the craft and local produce classes will soon be available from ARD, The Wheatsheaf, Parkins butchers and Michelle Louise.
