DETECTIVES are appealing for help from the public in tracing the movements of a stolen sports car thought to be worth around £160,000.
The distinctive white Lamborghini Gallardo, which has a black roof, was stolen from a property in Hook near Goole during the early hours of Sunday 28 February.
A similar Lamborghini was later seen travelling south along the M1 at around 8.40am.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may be able to help trace this car's movements to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Gavin Orsborne said: "This is a very distinctive supercar which would be very easy to spot travelling on the open road.
"It has possibly been stolen to order so it is vital that anyone who may have seen a Lamborghini matching the description of the car stolen contact us right away, no matter where you have seen it, as the thieves will be looking to take it off the road quickly."
Anyone with information should contact Humberside Police on 0845 60 60 222 quoting log 192 of 28/02/10.
