A HOST of minority parties have put forward candidates for the Haltemprice and Howden by-election.
The poll, which will be held on July 10, was triggered when Mr Davis resigned from the House of Commons two weeks ago.
Mr Davis, who once stood for the Tory leadership, said he decided to force the by-election over Government plans to hold terror su
spects for up to 42 days without charge and what he sees as other erosions of civil liberties.
Both the Labour Party and the Liberal Democrats have said they will not field a candidate in the race.
