ALTERATIONS to the car park at the former Pasture Primary School are set to be made.
Planning permission was granted at the recent meeting of the Western Area Planning sub committee for two new access points off Centenary Road and Pasture Road.

The site is currently being used by the Resource Centre, for users with special needs following the sale of their former premises in Rawcliffe. Future plans involve them sharing with occupants from the Woodlands Day Centre and sixth form students from Vermuyden while their school is being redeveloped.

The site will be divided in two, with new access created off Pasture Road leading to the car park for sixth form users only and a new bus access formed off Centenary Road.

Goole Town Council objected stating that the access/exit proposals would be a highways hazard.

But an East Riding of Yorkshire Council highways office recommended approval subject to improvements including the boundary wall on the approach side be reduced in height and the railings set back behind the sight line to allow full visibility.
