DANCERS from Goole will be taking part in a stage platform spectacular this weekend.
Young dancers will be performing in Platform at The Spa in Bridlington as part of a special showcase.
The performance, to mark the end of the summer term, will include children aged 11-years-old and above from Goole and the East Riding.
The groups have been practicing styles, themes and variations and dance expression with a variety of professional dancers.
June Mitchell, community arts officer co-ordinator of East Riding Youth Dance, said: "There is an exceptional amount of dance talent in the East Riding's young people.
"We have harnessed this to give them the opportunity to be creative and learn new dance technique, which can be invaluable in their present and future lives.
"It can give confidence, self-esteem, a healthy and fit lifestyle, possible dance or tuition career, social and individual pleasure. Added to these advantages, it's fun, challenging and exciting."
The event which takes place on July 5 will contain 14 performances and will cost £5 for adults and £2 for concessions. To buy tickets call the box office on 01262 678258.
