Bus fares are set to increase

BUS fares across Selby district are set to increase from January 13.

Nigel Featham, MD for Arriva Yorkshire, said: “Due to current economic pressures and in order to maintain our current service levels we need to increase a number of fares. On a more positive note we have managed to freeze our weekly and four weekly Yorkshire zone multi journey tickets which offer unlimited travel throughout the county on our services. We have also managed to hold rises on single fares by just 5 or 10 pence.”
