Cooking up a storm at Goole High School
Pupils take part in a cooking competition at Goole High School.
CHICKEN Korma was the festive dish of choice for students at Goole High School when they took part in an inter-house cookery competition before breaking up for Christmas.
Teams from Years 7, 8 and 9, representing the four school houses, made sure that too many cooks did not spoil the broth when they created a three course menu from scratch, comprising mushroom soup, the curry and apple crumble.
In true “Masterchef” style, the budding chefs had to work to a set time and their efforts were then judged for taste and presentation by co-headteachers Danuta Tomasz and Dave Flowitt along with assistant headteacher John Jones.
The winning team was from Stanhope house, with Ocean, Victoria and Aldham coming just fractionally each behind them.
