Jet fuel strike action averted in Selby

JET fuel tanker drivers working for Wincanton have called off their planned strike action for today, according to Selby Bawtry Road Jet garage manager Joe Baker.

On Friday members of the Unite union announced further strike action over pay and conditions, following breakdown of talks between management and the workforce. Unite claimed the dispute would put intense pressure on petrol supplies to Jet’s 381 forecourts. Mr Baker said supplies would be coming through as normal and would be unaffected.
