AN appeal has gone out for donations of more clothing, shoes and other items to help raise desperately needed funds for the Martin House Hospice.
And, more volunteers would be welcome to join the team at the Gowthorpe store.
Manager, Sue Cooney, said: “People tend to forget about us at this end of the town and we want to remind them that we are here, among a vibrant community of other shops.
“We really need more stock and, while we have a dedicated team of volunteers we need more and would love to hear from anyone who can offer any amount of time per week.”
Items needed are good quality clothes, shoes, bric-a-brac, textiles, curtains, toys and books. They can be left at the store at 68 Gowthorpe, which is open between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Saturday.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer can call in and see Sue or contact her on 01757 212900.
