Accident in Chapel Haddlesey man airlifted to hospital

A serious road traffic accident saw an injured man airlifted to hospital on Friday (March 15).

The accident happened just after noon when a VW Golf left the road and ended up in a field at Fox Lane in Chapel Haddlesey, close to the Pump House.

Emergency services were soon on the scene and the driver of the car was airlifted to Leeds Generral Infirmary and the passenger taken to York Hospital.

Police say nothing further is known at this stage.
