Attempted burglary
POLICE are urging residents to ensure their property is secure following an attempted burglary on Charles Drive last Thursday.
At around 1.40pm an elderly resident came out of her house to put some rubbish in her bin, leaving the back door unlocked.
On going back into the house the woman went upstairs and discovered a man in a bedroom.
Described as white, in his early to mid thirties, of medium build and 5ft 10ins tall with short fair hair and wearing a green top, the man spoke briefly to the woman before going downstairs and leaving the property via the back door.
Anyone with information is asked to call Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number 18899847.
