Blaze at property in Hemingbrough

MORE than 15 firefighters made an emergency dash to a blaze in Hemingbrough on Monday as it ripped through a property in the village.

Three fire engines attended including two from Selby and one from York to tackle the blaze in a barn conversion at The Hollies, Main Street, at about 5.40pm.

The firefighters were on the scene until 9.30pm stripping tiles from the roof to make the building safe.
