Blaze causes road closure

A ROAD at Swinton was closed for an hour last night, due to a chimney fire.

Fire crews were forced to tackle the blaze at a property on Bridge Street from above, meaning the road was blocked for some time by their appliance.

A diversion was put in place from 9.30pm to 10.30pm.
