Breaking news – Eight years for woman who arranged own miscarriage

A FORMER Sherburn resident was has today been sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment at Leeds Crown Court for procuring her own miscarriage.

Sarah Louise Catt (pictured), 35, who now lives in Leeds but was based in Sherburn at the time of the offence, pleaded guilty to the charge when she appeared at Leeds Crown Court this morning.

The officer investing her crime said: “Catt has proved to be cold and calculating and has shown no remorse or given an explanation for what she did.”
