Burglary in Saxton using owners step ladder

HOME OWNERS are counting the cost of leaving a pair of step ladders in their garden after burglars used them to break into their home.

The intruders broke into the property at Main Road in Saxton on December 29, but the owners of the house were not alerted to it until they returned home on January 5.

The burglars entered the house through an upstairs window and stole an 18 ins, 18-carat gold Pandora bracelet containing lots of charms such as two angels, two little boys, a Buddha, cushion, wedding rings, an ornamental church, and various astrology star signs. Cash of £500 in different notes was also taken along with £200 in loose change and a ceramic-style vase containing £400 in two pound coins.

Police are urging anyone with any information to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 12130002633.
