Calendar boys still available

JANUARY may already be here but you can still grab your copy of a specially-shot calendar, all in the name of charity.

The Selby Blue Watch firemen made the calendars to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support, after crew member Lee Adkin lost his father to the illness.

Lee praised the treatment that the whole family received from MacMillan’s dedicated staff during his father’s final days, and because of that experience he and his work colleagues decided to shoot this calendar with a mission to raise funds for the charity.

The crew say they are hoping to raise around £10,000 for the charity, and with the calendars having been released before Christmas they have proven to be a popular stocking filler.

The calendars also include important safety messages for use at different times of the year, and they are available to purchase from our offices, priced at £10.
