Carlton village hall applies for wheelchair ramps

CARLTON Village Hall has applied for £324 to install a ramp for wheelchair users.

The building’s treasurer Jennifer Onions has submitted the funding request to North Yorkshire County Council’s Selby Area Committee so the hall can have a new concrete ramp with handrail installed by the fire exit for use by people in wheelchairs or with pushchairs.

The project costs £1,080, and it’s hoped it will be completed in April. The funding bid will be considered at Monday’s meeting.
