Selby Referral Scheme was given the new fridge, cupboards and worktops by Howden Joinery Co.
The centre, which helps to cater for children aged 14-16 who cannot attend secondary school due to medical or other reasons, opened late last year.
Claire Smith, office manager, says the new kitchen will bring a breath of fresh air to the centre.
She said: “We were kindly donated the kitchen by a Howden company and they’ve really helped us settle into the new premises, with the improved facilities.
“The place is more user-friendly now that’s for sure.
“We only opened a couple of months ago so we’re in the early stages still, but our job is all about engaging the pupils within learning and building their confidence.”
The centre teaches 28 pupils in total and is one of five within the North Yorkshire area, but the only one of its kind in Selby.
Claire added: “We cover all the secondaries in the area so we do have quite a large patch to cover for a relatively small town.”
