Collision near Whitley Bridge road closed

A MAN escaped serious injury when his car overturned near Whitley Bridge on the A19 this morning (February 13).

The road was closed for almost three hours while the 23-year-old man’s grey Renault Laguna was recovered. The car was travelling from Askern towards Whitley Bridge when it flipped over at about 6am.

An ambulance attended and treated the driver who had minor cuts to his head and nose.
