Comic relief big bake at Brayton High School
Teaching assistants of Brayton High School held a Bake Sale and Coffee Morning for staff, with all proceeds going to Comic Relief.
The Student Support Centre of the school was bedecked with Red Nose Day bunting two weeks ago, donation boxes and cakes both large and small. Cakes, buns, scones, tarts and biscuits were arranged on plates, cake stands and cup-cake stands making an enticing display; with not a ‘soggy bottom’ in sight. Nothing was priced, donations were all that was asked for and the amount raised was in excess of £114.
Teaching assistants were kept busy cutting and serving cakes, pouring coffee and tea to members of staff, many of who paid return visits to the cake tables to buy treats to take home to their families.
The event was an overall success with proceeds going to support good causes.
Many other fund raising events have been planned by staff and students of the school, to raise more money for Comic relief on 15th March 2013.
Any Comic Relief events your school is holding let us know ASAP and send to editorial@selbytimes.co.uk email.
