Couple’s campaign bring Daisy back home

DOG lovers Anne and Bill Turner are thrilled to be reunited with their pet dog Daisy.

The couple, from Conisbrough, launched a poster and internet campaign and offered a cash reward after their West Highland terrier Daisy disappeared from their garden on January 18.

This week a woman from Wheatley contacted the couple to say she had found Daisy wandering in woodland at Armthorpe.

Anne, 65, said: “We went straight over and were so glad it was Daisy. She was over the moon to see us. She’s very jumpy and won’t leave my side, but it’s fantastic just to have her back.

“It was absolutely horrible not knowing what had happened to her.

“The police are aware of what’s happened and I’d like to warn all dog owners to keep a close eye on their pets.

“If we had not gone the extra mile and appealed for help all over the place in finding Daisy it might well have been a different story”.

The couple offered a £500 reward for the safe return of their six-months old pet”.
