Double joy for promoted Sue

A MAJOR Olympics-related contract has delivered a record year for the Payroll Department at North Yorkshire accountants and business advisers JWPCreers LLP.
The company, which has offices in Park Street in Selby and also one in York, helped run part of the London Olympics payroll after winning the contract for Cleanevent and CleanDomain, which provides cleaning and waste management services for sports stadia and shopping malls.
JWPCreers former payroll manager, Sue Espiner, who set the department up ten years ago, said: “The London Olympics gave us a major boost which, along with other client gains, created ten per cent growth in the department.
“We now process 900 payroll staff a week, or 3,500 a month and have expanded the department to three full-time and one part-time staff.”
The news comes as Sue is celebrating herself after being promoted to marketing and business development manager.
In her new role Sue (pictured above) will work out of both of the firm’s offices and will help market the company’s wide range of accountancy and business services.
She added: “I’m looking forward to a fantastic new challenge to enhance the excellent reputation we already have in the York and North Yorkshire area.”
JWPCreers is among York and North Yorkshire’s largest firms of accountants, taxation professionals and business advisers with eight partners and more than 70 staff.
