Fund-raising photos request

THIS year’s BBC Children in Need fund-raiser takes place tomorrow – and we would like to feature your events in next week’s family-friendly Selby Times.

Our photographer will be extremely busy that day and while we will try and get to as many local events as possible, we won’t be able to attend all, and that’s where you can help.

We would love for anyone taking part in a fundraiser to send in their photos from the event for inclusion in a Children in Need picture special in the following week’s publication.

Send your images to editorial@selbytimes.co.uk by 9am Monday, and please include as much detail as possible, plus contact details.

Among those getting into the spirit of the event will be Selby College which will see two male students having their legs waxed to raise cash.

There will also be a college-wide fancy dress competition, a raffle, guess the number of sweets in the jar and a higher or lower card game.

The college’s refectory is also holding a curry day.

BBC Children in Need takes place every year in November and every penny raised go towards helping disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK.
