Meet the police commissioner
HUMBERSIDE Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Grove plans to visit every neighbourhood in the Humberside Police area in the next few months - including Howden.
Across the four local authority areas there are 22 Neighbourhood Policing areas, each divided into smaller local teams. Matthew will visit the local police station and meet officers and staff, then tour the area to discover the issues around crime. Ward councillors will be invited to join Matthew and there will be opportunities for any groups involved in crime reduction to meet their Police and Crime Commissioner.
Matthew said: “The area I represent covers 1,350 square miles, and between now and the summer I intend to cover as much of it as possible.
“I’m looking forward to meeting many of our dedicated officers and staff and learning more about the issues they face every day. I also want to meet the members of our communities who work tirelessly to help cut crime, like neighbourhood watch groups, youth workers and community organisations.
Details of Matthew’s diary can found on the ‘Meet Matthew’ section at website www.humberside-pcc.gov.uk
He is scheduled to visit Howden on February 28.
