Men arrested after teens missing
TWO men were arrested following the disappearance of two teen Goole girls just before Christmas.
The men – aged 23 and 20 – have been released on police bail until February.
The teens, Chloe Sanderson, aged 14, and Melissa Griffiths, 15, were found safe in a bed and breakfast in Blackpool, following a national police appeal to discover their whereabouts.
Images of the girls were also widely circulated on social networking site Facebook as family and friends made desperate attempts to locate them.
Miss Sanderson, of Kent Road and Griffiths, of Aire Street, were reported missing on Wednesday December 19, after they were believed to have left their homes and got into a car with the two men, who have not been unidentified by police.
The police are understood to have known the two men prior to the incident.
The men were missing for two days before being found in Blackpool on the evening of December 21.
Police said that they had ‘no immediate concerns’ for their welfare after they had been located.
It is believed that it was the owner of the seaside B&B who discovered the girls after recognising them from descriptions in police appeals.
