MP set to make guest appearance
MP DAVID Davis will be making a guest appearance at this year's Eastrington Show.
The local Conservative Party representative has confirmed he will attend the event which is celebrating its 100th event on Saturday June 20.
Mr Davis, MP for Haltemprice and Howden, said he was delighted to have been invited along to the show and will be touring the attractions and presenting competition prizes.
Show President Peter Kirk said: "We are pleased that Mr Davis has accepted our invitation to be present at the show.
"In recent times we haven't had any special guests, and with it being the 100th this year we wanted to mark the occasion in some way."
In another first, Vixen FM will be broadcasting live from the show field having recently been granted its permanent licence.
Other attractions confirmed include brass band music, dance displays by local groups, vintage vehicles supplied by East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club, and vintage tractors displayed by local enthusiasts.
Schedules for the children's competitions and open produce classes at Eastrington Show are available from Cottage Stores, Eastrington.

The event runs from dawn 'til dusk and admission is 4 for adults, 3 senior citizens, 2 children and a family ticket (two adults and two children) 8.
