Place a Courier family notice ad, you could win photo prize

YOUR local newspaper has joined forces with Goole photographer Daryl Thompson of Dt Photography to offer a brand new prize worth £50.

The Courier will enter into a prize draw anyone placing a birth or birthday notice in the newspaper's Family Notices section.

The winner, drawn on the last Thursday of the month, will receive a family portrait session (worth 35), which includes a preview disc of the pictures and a 10"x8" print (worth 15) of the winner's choice.

Leeds University graduate Daryl Thompson formed the photography business in 2006 after the birth of his daughter Aimee. The award-winning designer and Arts Council exhibiting artist re-kindled his passion for photography when taking pictures of his daughter.

"Everyone loved them and kept asking me who had taken them. Before I knew it I'd started Dt Photography."

In spring 2007, Daryl became a member of SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photogra-phers). He was awarded joint second place in their headshot competition, with a picture of a baby girl from Goole.

Daryl added: "It's great to win this award but I feel privileged to be a family photographer.

"You get to see how well all the kids are doing, how they've grown and what they're into, each time they return."

* Terms and conditions - Winners must book their portrait session within one calendar month and agree to allow Dt Photography to select one picture for use in a winners, follow up story to be published in the Courier.
