Police investigate Monk Fryston plant theft
SELBY police are appealing for information following a burglary and theft of air compressors.
They were stolen between 5.15pm on Tuesday November 27 and 7am on Wednesday November 28 from JP Plant Hire on Selby Road in Monk Fryston.
The thieves broke into a securely locked compound before stealing two air compressors, a blue Ingersoll Rand and a yellow Atlas Coplo, which are each valued at around £5,000. a vehicle would have been need to either tow the compressors away or transport them on a trailer.
PC Lee Smith, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you witnessed the burglary and theft taking place or can help to identify those responsible I urge you to contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.
“I also need to speak to anyone who may have been offered air compressors matching description of the stolen items to come forward and get in touch as soon as possible.”
