FAB four teenage musicians are hoping to hit the dizzying musical heights after releasing their hot off the press first CD four track last week.
Premonition – all Selby High School students – Robbie Cliff – lead vocals; Ryan Mellor-Davis – lead guitar and backing vocals; Max Shaw on drums and Richy Jones – bass guitar, have sent their self-penned four-track CD Blank Canvas to all local radio stations in the hope of getting precious air play time.
Richy’s proud dad Mel, who lives with his son at Bar Lane in Hambleton, said the band had been gigging in the area for the past 12 months and were building a great following and reputation.
He added: “Premonition have been gigging in Selby district for the past 12 months including appearances at Battle of the Bands, Young Guns at the Riverside venue, 4Youth Aftershock and, of course, school concerts. The band combines rock riffs with hard-hitting catchy tunes and it’s the new genre that could go viral in 2013 – teen rock. They have appeared at Battle of the Bands, Young Guns at the Riverside, 4Youth Aftershock and provided the music as Selby High hosted the Olympic Torch in June.”
