THEIR number’s come up!
Staff at the Olive Hunt Charity Shop are celebrating after raising a whacking £1,110 in their charity raffle.
The shop’s Hetty Walker said: “We’re very pleased – it wasn’t quite as successful as last year but it’s still a brilliant amount that will be a real boost to local good causes.
“I’d like to thank everyone who helped, donated prizes – there were 26 of them – or bought a ticket.”
The independent charity shop has just celebrated another milestone – raising an amazing £1million in the last 20 years and now they’ve hit their target there are going to be some changes at the shop.
“We’re going to change our opening times so we’ll be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 8.30am and 2.30pm,” Hetty added. “It’s a bit less than before, but we’re all getting a bit older and things are getting a bit heavier than they used to be! We’re still determined to help out local causes though – every pound is very welcome and will be put to good use.”
