Recognise this bike?

THIS distinctive customised mountain bike (pictured) has been stolen from a property in Sherburn.

The bright orange Commencal Absolt Maxmax Atherton bike was pinched from a garage at a house on Cardinal Close.

Its owner, who had customised it using specialist parts, has offered a £50 reward for information which leads to the return of the bike and the arrest and charge of the thief.

Police said the theft happened at some point between 9.45am and 2.30pm last Friday.

A spokesman added that the garage was insecure when the theft happened.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in Cardinal Close during those hours, or who saw the bike being taken away, or who knows of its whereabouts, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two and ask for PC Graham Smith.

Alternatively, information can be passed, anonymously, via the Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
