Taxi fare rise up for debate

TAXI fares in Selby could be set to rise for the first time in two years.

Proposed increases for taxi tariffs, which would come into force in April and will be discussed when Selby District Council’s licensing committee meets on Monday.

SDC says that drivers have had to meet the hikes in licence fees, while fares have been at a standstill since April 2011.
