A TEACHER from Rawcliffe Bridge Primary School joined dozens of colleagues from around the region to learn new textile skills at a workshop in Harrogate.
Catherine Robb, the school’s art co-ordinator, visited the Yorkshire Show venue for a Textile Techniques day run by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
For the past six years, the Society, best known for organising the annual Great Yorkshire Show and its sister event Countryside Live, has run a series of short courses throughout the year for teachers and teaching assistants from across the region.
The one-day textiles course included a range of traditional skills for the teachers to try, including weaving, appliqué, and sewing.
