Horse cart stolen in Selby burglary.

RURAL communities are being asked to remain vigilant after a horse exercise cart was stolen during a burglary at a rural stable block in Hemingbrough.

The black cart, which has a red seat, was taken from the stables on School Road in the village, sometime between 6.40pm on Friday January 18 and 11am on Saturday January 19.

The horse cart is valued at around £250.

Also taken during the burglary was a red Honda petrol strimmer and a green Norlet petrol chainsaw.

Officers are appealing to anyone with information about the burglary or has been offered the items for sale, to get in touch.

Anyone who can help officers with their inquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Heather Wilkinson or Selby police.
