Tools stolen

HUNDREDS of pounds worth of power tools were stolen when thieves burgled a home in Micklegate in Selby.

The burglary happened between late on November 28 and the early hours of November 29. Thieves entered the property, which is being renovated, through a ground floor window.

Tools taken included a Dewalt drill, a Makita holdall with drill, power driver, circular saw and a jig saw. There was also a four inch grinder, torch and other expensive Makita tools.

Police are warning people to keep their valuables, including tools under lock and key, and to keep them out of sight.
