Travel news: avoid M1 at Sheffield
POLICE are urging motorists to avoid the M1 in South Yorkshire until lunchtime today following an accident which damaged the central reservation.
No-one was injured in the collision in which a lorry jack-knifed across the central reservation, shortly after 3am today at Junction 33, the Sheffield Parkway exit.
One lane is currently open both north and southbound but traffic has been building up in both directions while the vehicle is removed.
During the morning repairs will be carried out to the central reservation, and one lane will be closed in both directions while the work is carried out.
