Wind farm go-ahead

THE David and Goliath battle between residents of Barlow and Cliffe and developers Hallam Land Management over a proposed wind farm near the villages has been won by Goliath.

An appeal against refusal of a planning application for a wind farm at Cleek Hall, off Turnham Lane, Cliffe, has been upheld and planning permission for the controversial proposal was granted by the Planning Inspectorate on Tuesday.
