POLICE are appealing for help from the public in identifying a woman they would like to speak to in connection with a theft in Goole.

The incident happened at around 1.20pm on Saturday October 13, 2012, whilst an elderly, disabled woman was shopping in a card shop on Boothferry Road, Goole.

The woman who requires an aid to assist her walking became aware of another woman close to her as she browsed the shop. The shopper’s purse was placed within her walking aid and it is believed that the woman who was seen to be close to her may have taken the purse from the walking aid.

The purse was later retrieved having had all of the money removed from it, in a neighbouring shop.

The attached image show a woman police would like to speak to in connection with the incident and she, or anyone who knows who she is asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number 1935684 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
