FORMER professional footballers Steve Torpey and Lee Philpott are launching a new football coaching business, PT Pro Soccer Coaching, with sessions in Howden.
Steve and Lee played for Scunthorpe United and Hull City respectively and have played more than 1,400 matches between them.

Both men have undertaken extensive coaching training with the Football Association (FA) and are currently working towards
their UEFA B Licence; the FA level three award.

PT Pro Soccer Coaching will work in partnership with the East Riding Football Development Project and Howden Secondary School.

Jay Rowley, football development co-ordinator, said: "This partnership is a great step forward for the project and I am really excited about working with Steve and Lee.

"This is an excellent opportunity as to have two former professionals delivering the sessions is quite rare outside professional academies."

Lee said: "Our primary aim is to develop the football skills of children of all ages, with the emphasis on enhancing technical ability, improving fitness and providing a fun and social environment."

PT Pro Soccer Coaching will welcome school children of all abilities.

The first course will run throughout the May half-term holiday, from Tuesday May 27 to Friday May 30. Sessions for children aged five to seven years will run 10am-noon at a cost of £5 per day or £15 for the week.

For eight to 14-year-olds, sessions will run 10am-3pm at a cost of £10 per day or £35 for the week.

For more information about the course or to book a place, please call Steve Torpey, on 07917 702488.
