BBM 7
Swinefleet FC 3
IN THE last match of the season both teams served up a goal feast mainly as a result of poor defending from both sides.

Swinefleet were always chasing the goals but, despite this, played some good football and were easy able to match the league run
ners up for quality of football.

Swinefleet found themselves 3-0 down by half time due to hesitant defending at the back.

However a quick goal by Dale Noon within five minutes of the restart gave them a brief lifeline, before BBM extended their lead with a free header from a corner.

Lee Burnitt pulled another goal back on 61 minutes following a fine move involving Jack Howard, Wayne Sykes, Danny Nicholson and Sam Nicholls but within four minutes the home side were gifted another goal with a further gift on 69 minutes.

Sam Nicholls finished in style on 75 minutes with BBM adding a final goal on 82 minutes.

Swinefleet FC Res 4
Mallard 1
The second team clinched the runners up spot and promotion to Division Two with an emphatic victory over the league champions the previous week.

Early first half goals from Sam Nicholls, Josh Hewson and Andrew Severn with the Mallard also scoring in the first period, gave Swinefleet a first half cushion.

The game was played at a competitive pace with some of the challenges requiring the referee to produce seven yellow cards, two for Swinefleet and five for Mallard.

A class finish on 71 minutes from substitute Cohen Vause returning after injury made the game safe and give the young second team a well deserved victory.
