GOOLE Town opened the Hunters York and District Senior League Premier Division season with a battling two wicket win.
After winning the toss last Saturday and putting their opponents in to bat, Goole's bowlers removed all of Dunnington's batsman f

It is Goole's first win in the Premier Division since winning promotion as runners up from Division One last season.

Their top scorers were skipper Hamid Khan with 39, and Jack Bolam who made 40 not out.
But overseas star Ashley Hulme took four wickets for 42 runs off his 13.3 overs, which included three maidens, with Dave England chipping in with 2-46, Stephen Hicks 2-18 and Will Sparks 1-23.
In reply Goole made 38 before Anthony Gibbins was removed for 18.
Kevin Murphy and Lee Hayward soon followed to reduce Goole to 70-3 and Hulme was then dismissed after scoring 26 to make it 95-4.
Captain Neil Foster steadied the ship by top scoring with 33 before he was removed followed by Mark Holmes who hit a quick fire 22.
Goole fell to 133-8 and looked in danger of losing but Hicks hit 16no and was ably supported by Richard Mann who hit a six to win the match and finish on 22no.
Oral Blackford was the pick of Dunnington's bowlers with 4-57 off 21 overs.
